The Vision
To proclaim the finished work of Christ and
fulfill the great commission
Poiema Christian Centre is about passionate love for Jesus Christ and compassion
for people. We come from many different ethnic back grounds but what binds us
together is the incredible richness of life that comes from having a personal
relationship with the Father through Jesus Christ
The name POIEMA comes from the Greek word translated ‘’workmanship’’ or
‘’masterpiece’’ in the English Bible.
Eph 2:10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good
works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
-Our teaching emphasizes the finished work of Christ through His cross, burial, resurrection and ascension.
We see ourselves as God sees us; as new creations, the old has gone.
(2 Cor 5:17)
-We are God’s poem, His work of art created in a unique way!
- We want our message to be relevant, Jesus focused and filled with faith and grace
(Eph 4:8-9). We believe it brings joy to the listeners.
- We equip the believer for the work of the ministry and the good work that God has
prepared for us to do.
(Eph 4:12, Eph 2:10)
- We are united together in the vision to disciple the nations and bring the good news to all nations, tribes, peoples and tongues.
(Matt 28:18-20, Revelation 7:9-10)
- We desire to be a mission focused church. We are currently involved in various mission projects in Malaysia, Pakistan, Vietnam and also other nations.
